London peeps. I will be at the @artitled.nl booth c8 of @photolondonfair today doing a book signing of both my midnight modern monograph from 2017 and the new limited catalog we have created for series IV. I’m down from 3-4pm, pop by and say gday!
East Sierra way. On show this week at @photolondonfair at Somerset house 16-19th. For print info @artitled.nl
One of the images on show in large format next week at @photolondonfair with @artitled.nl . The beautiful 1957 home of the talented @lyndalax and lovely @feralcars seen with their 1965 Alfa Romeo Giulia spider in the drive. Can’t wait to see this one printed and framed at 134x90cm. Available in an edition of 10.
Less than a week until @photolondonfair. Very damn excited to be having a solo show of my midnight modern series in collaboration with the wonderful @artitled.nl gallery. It is going to be incredibly surreal to fly back from kazakstan to find my works in their own room in the historic Somerset house in London. The fair runs from 16th-19th of May. Please tag any London crew who might be interested. Image: Camino real from my last series of midnight modern. A beautiful 1964 custom house with a Lincoln Mach III seen in the drive.
Very excited to be taking over the @wired Instagram today to share a behind the scenes glimpse into the making of my series Nihon Noir including the story and footage of how I managed to convince a crew of highway repairmen to let me use their crane lift to get 30m into the air to take this epic shot (if I don’t say so myself) of the nagakin capsule tower built in 1970 designed by architect kisho kurokawa. Head over to the account and look out for the stories which should be up very soon!
In 2011 @kateballis bought me for my birthday an hour in a helicopter with the doors off to fly around MELBOURNE with @ willf to do my first aerial shoot. It took a year to find the perfect day to shoot, a boiling hot Sunday. I took this image in the first 50 frames I fired off. 8 years later it was very surreal to hop on a plane to Tokyo and find my collaboration with @qantas has finally launched and now this image is flying on 100,000 business class amenities kits. It was an honour to be chosen as part of their qantas curated program that chose me along with 15 other incredible living Australian artists. Very surreal to think that many people might strap on this photo as an eye mask and take a nap. Swipe to see the kit!
